This privacy policy describes how Game Tracker (“the App”) handles information when you use our Android application and the pages at g5hi.com/gametracker.

1. Summary
Game Tracker helps you browse game deals, build a watchlist, receive price and free-game alerts, and take part in optional weekly skin giveaways. Deal data is fetched from third-party APIs (including CheapShark). Store links may include affiliate tracking where available.
- Watchlists and settings sync via Firebase when you use guest or signed-in mode.
- Push notifications use Firebase Cloud Messaging for alerts you enable.
- Free users may see ads through Google AdMob (non-personalized where configured).
- Premium is a monthly subscription through Google Play that removes ads and unlocks extra features.
2. Information we process
- Account. Optional anonymous, email/password, or Google sign-in via Firebase Authentication.
- Watchlist. Game IDs, titles, and alert preferences you choose to track, stored in Firebase Firestore and locally on your device.
- Settings. Platform, region, notification preferences, and similar options stored in Firestore or on-device.
- Giveaway participation. Entry counts, week identifiers, and an optional Steam trade URL if you win a draw.
- Premium status. Whether an active Premium subscription is validated through Google Play Billing (we do not receive card details).
- FCM token. A device token used to deliver push notifications you request.
- Advertising. Google AdMob may process device and ad-related data for banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Technical data. App version, basic diagnostics, and crash-related logs that Firebase or Google services may collect automatically.
- Third-party APIs. CheapShark, console store APIs, and linked retailers may log standard request data when the App fetches deals or opens store pages.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve the App, including deal browsing, watchlists, search, price alerts, giveaways, Premium validation, security, and abuse prevention.
4. Third-party services
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud functions, and push messaging.
- Google AdMob — advertising in the free tier.
- Google Play Billing — Premium purchases.
- CheapShark & store APIs — pricing and deal metadata.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers that help operate the App, when required by law, or as part of a business transfer subject to this policy.
6. Retention & your choices
We keep account and watchlist data while your account is active. You can remove watchlist items in the App, manage notifications in Settings, use guest mode, or upgrade to Premium to remove ads. Contact g5@g5hi.com to request account deletion.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate, including outside the UK/EEA, with safeguards described in their policies.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
